As technology develops at a breakneck pace in 2016 - with virtual and augmented reality systems, second screen experiences, interactive and branching narrative gameplay, and more - visionary creators are exploring stunning new ways to evolve the ways we tell and experience stories. This panel brings together four visionaries in the world of "next media" storytelling: executive creative director at Interlude Shane Small (incidentally also the creator of Exploding Kittens, the game with the highest number of backers in the history of Kickstarter), who is working with Bioshock creator Ken Levine on rebooting The Twilight Zone into a live, interactive experience; Catatonic director Guy Shelmerdine has just launched the pioneering VR genre platform Dark Corner; Beyond Crimson Peak director Justin Denton has recently wrapped production on his his 2D/VR combination piece Burlap; and Eric Shamlin with Secret Location (Sleepy Hollow VR) is getting ready to premiere his groundbreaking VR sci-fi series Halcyon. The panel will be moderated by Rebecca Howard formerly head of the New York Times' video division launched their VR program with Walking New York in 2015. Lastly, Dark Corner and Radiant Images will bring their one-of-a-kind Dark Corner 360° camera rig to be displayed at the panel as part of this open discussion of VR technology and innovation.
