I am currently finishing off my Masters in Comics at Dundee University and am going on to do a PhD in September. The focus of my current research is creating an autobiographical comic that addresses personal and 'collective' grief whilst simultaneously raising awareness for heart disease. I will be doing a lightning talk on this work during the conference. It is still very much a work in progress and I am eager to learn lots more about the role of Graphic Medicine throughout the event so I will hopefully get a chance to speak with lots of people and find out more.
